What to bring

  • Please bring a lunch, 2 snacks, and a water bottle daily.
  • Dress comfortably, casually, and modestly. Afternoons will be filled with fun; students may get messy, so please wear clothes that can be played in.

English-only policy

At the GGIS Summer Enrichment Program, all instruction and social interaction are in English. Comprehension and fluency come through the consistent use of the language. A unified language also helps children from all cultures develop friendships.  Allowances to the ‘English-Only’ policy can be made for children without any English background, according to the teacher’s discretion, but they will be encouraged to use English as much as possible.

Communication
  • If your child will be absent, please email kbender@ggis.hu or call +361 275 4795.
  • If you need to send a message to your child during the day, please call us, and we will relay a message. Students should not call home or receive calls unless there is an emergency; however, we are happy to take a message for them if needed.

Health and safety

For the health of all children, please contact us and do not send your child to the program if they are ill.

  • Multiple symptoms of an infectious disease, fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice, skin rash, lesions or swelling, eye discharge, ear or nasal discharge, sudden loss of smell or taste, presence of lice or scabies - the child must have a doctor’s note to return.

If a student gets injured while at school:

  • Parents are informed by phone immediately by the administration, unless the injury is deemed too minor for parental involvement. Parents will be immediately informed of any head injury, even those that appear minor.
  • In the event of a serious injury, an ambulance will be called, and then parents will be notified.

The program leaders seek to protect and care for all children’s safety while in the Summer Enrichment Program. Feel free to communicate concerns to us.
