English Language Development

"But my child cannot speak English..."

Don't worry! Greater Grace International School has an extensive EAL (English as an Additional Language) curriculum for our international students in grades one through twelve whose English skills are not at a level with their classmates.

Small-group instruction aids students in developing language proficiency in the shortest possible time. Your child will be evaluated quarterly to determine his or her progress.

GGIS EAL courses are designed to teach your child at their age and proficiency level in the following areas:

  • Phonics
  • Writing
  • Vocabulary
  • Conversation
  • Reading
  • Pronunciation
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Listening Comprehension
  • Grammar

Remedial Mathematics program in GGIS

The main purpose of the Remedial Mathematics program is to identify and provide extra help in areas where the student needs it. This will enable the student to advance to the math level of their age and join the mainstream mathematics class as soon as possible.

There will be an extra fee for this program.
