Greater Grace International School, GGIS, an American international school located in Budapest, Hungary, teaches 150 students form over 30 nations. GGIS’ high standard of excellence in academics, discipline, and morality creates a soaring atmosphere for learning. In this unique learning environment, the students learn, not only scholastically, but also globally about other cultures, political systems, relationships, and different ways of thinking.
We expect more from our students, and so receive it. Most of the students excel beyond their goals. A failing grade at GGIS is a 65%, a ‘D’ is 66 to 72%, a ‘C’ is 73 to 82%, a ‘B’ is 83 to 92%, and an ‘A’ is 93 to 100%. Due to the transient nature of international schools and our class size, GGIS does not have a policy on ranking. Although we do provide a weighted GPA. However, our students are tested regularly using standard American tests, such as Stanford, OLSAT, PSAT, and SAT to assure that their achievement levels meet national standards. In addition, GGIS is a recognized member of the Association of Christian Schools International, a professional organization that helps improve the quality of Christian schools and encourages standards of excellence. We trust that our students’ transcripts share their story best.
At this time, GGIS offers an AP Calculus class and an AP Physics class. When students leave GGIS, they are prepared for the academic challenges of higher education.
Students from Greater Grace International School are also prepared to live in our international society. Although many students attend GGIS for the challenging academics and the strong English program, they learn about a loving and living God by Christian missionary teachers from all over the world. They are taught respect for all, love for all, the value of integrity and they especially learn the freedom to be who God created them to be.
