Principal
James Schirmer
Mr. Schirmer has been a vital part of the GGIS team for close to 20 years: he became the school principal in 2010 after serving 3 years as the vice-principal and 13 years as a classroom teacher. He is a passionate educator dedicated to serving the students, parents and faculty of the Greater Grace International School. His wife Marta is one of the main English Additional Language program teachers and his twin daughters attend the school.
Managing Director
Barry Quirk
GGIS is managed and operated by Educom Kft., a Hungarian based corporation. Barry Quirk as the managing director of Educom manages all of the financial and business aspects of the school. Mr. Quirk joined the GGIS team in 2006. He is an administrator, an educator and a pastor. His experience as the director of the Central European Theological Academy in Hungary, 12+ years of pastoral experience, 2 years as the principal of GGIS and many years of international exposure (having lived in Hungary and Indonesia) give him the experience and skills he needs to manage GGIS. His wife Veronica is employed as the school office manager, and his daughter Kendel is a high school student.
School Superintendent
Brian D. Lange
A gifted administrator and visionary, Mr. Lange was part of GGIS’s founding team back in 1991. He and his family lived in Hungary for 10 years before returning to the United States. During these 20 years Pastor Lange has been intimately involved in all aspects of the school: while in Hungary Mr. Lange taught high school math, worked as the managing director, and also served as the principal. As the school superintendent, Brian is responsible for maintaining the mission of the school and for oversight of both the teaching and management staff of GGIS. He and his wife Paula live in Baltimore, Maryland where she serves as the vice-principal of our sister school, Greater Grace Christian Academy. Mrs. Lange also serves as an academic advisor for GGIS, and the couple travels often to Hungary to provide GGIS with a variety of educational support services. They have 3 married children, (outstanding examples of GGIS Alumni!) and a growing collection of cherished grandchildren.
The excellence of her academic experience - which, with your emphasis on fundamentals, was truly superb - was exceeded only by the caring nature of the environment in which it was delivered. The school embodies Christian values in everything it does.
